All on one level, the welcoming interior of Villa Anthea includes a living room, well equipped kitchen and dining area with doors out onto the terrace. There is a double bedroom with en suite shower room, a further double bedroom and a twin bedroom and shower room. Tastefully furnished, the villa is fitted with all modern comforts including air conditioning, WiFi, 4 TVs, safe, electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee percolator, Espresso machine, toaster, mixer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hairdryer and highchair.

The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are cleaned mid-week (3 hours) and towels are also changed mid-week. Linen and pool towels are changed weekly.

The villa has a wonderful shaded terrace accessed from the villa with table and chairs and sofa set to relax and enjoy the stunning sea views. There is also an adjacent outside kitchen with gas barbecue, sink and table and chairs plus a shower room accessed from outside. 

In front of the villa accessed via steps is a lovely swimming pool (5m x 10m, depth min 1.2m - max 2.2m, open 01/04 - 30/11) and sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. There is also an adjacent gazebo with sofa set. 

Guests can also request a cook (extra cost, €180 + receipts).

The property is walking distance (700m) of the sandy beach of Bovo Marina where it is possible to hire sunbeds and there are a couple of beach cafés/restaurants. The nearest town to the villa is Montallegro 6km away with a selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias. 

Ribera, known for its oranges is 25km and has a market on Thursdays. Eraclea Minoa (12km) also has a sandy beach with clear blue sea between white cliffs and a pine forest and it is also known for its ancient Phoenician settlement with sandstone theatre and Roman villa with mosaic relics.

The nature reserves of Torre Salsa  and Foce del Fiume Platani are both 17km.  Further south are the cliffs of Scala dei Turchi (24km) and the Valley of the Temples near Agrigento (36km).  To the north are the fishing port of Sciacca (37km) and Selinunte Archaeological Park (70km).

From Villa Anthea, it is possible to visit The Valley of the Temples located just outside of Agrigento, arguably one of the most beautiful and historically interesting locations in Sicily, characterised by the remains of ten temples dating back to the 5th century BC and the Temple of Concordia being one of the best preserved temples of the Greek civilization today. It became part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997 being one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, one of the main attractions in Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy.
