The Accommodation

Recently built on one level, the villa features bright, comfortable accommodation furnished with taste and functionality.

There is a living room with double sofa bed, kitchen, two double bedrooms both with en suite shower room, plus a further shower room. The villa is equipped with air conditioning, WiFi, 3 satellite TV’s, iPod docking station, safe, mosquito nets (bedrooms and living room), hairdryer, highchair and cot.

The kitchen has electric oven, gas hob, 2 fridges, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee percolator, espresso machine, iron, kettle, microwave, mixer and toaster.

The villa is surrounded by outside terraces with dining area, garden with small swimming pool and has a rooftop sun terrace with heated jacuzzi. 

Please note: Villa Rosmarino is similar to Villa Timo which is next door (and the 3 bedroom Villa Lavanda, Villa Ulivo, Villa Fico d'India and 4 bedroom Villa Palma) which are nearby so ideal for extended families or groups. All villas are non smoking.

The Garden & Facilities

Outside there is a small private pool (3m x 5m, depth 1.2m) on the terrace and a jacuzzi (2m x 2m, depth 0.7m, heated to 26°C) situated on the first floor roof terrace. Please note: heating the jacuzzi may use more than the kilowatt allowance and therefore be extra cost.

There is an al fresco dining area with table, chairs and barbecue plus sun loungers and parasol are provided on the surrounding sun terrace.

Local services available at the villa include change of linen (€15 per person), cook (€200 + food) and maid service (€25 per hour, minimum 2 hours).

The villa is situated 100m from the seafront with rocky beach and 300m from the sandy beach of San Lorenzo. There is a delicatessen and restaurants 700m away and further shops, bank and restaurants 3km away in Marzamemi.  Bike rental, boat rental and guided tours can be arranged (all extra cost). 

Local activities available include golf (Floridia) 35km, tennis 20km, horse riding 22km, harbour (Syracuse) 40km and the interesting towns of Noto 20km, Syracuse 40km, Ragusa 70km, Taormina 140km.

The Local Area

Villa Rosmarino is located in San Lorenzo, a small seaside village with a lovely sandy beach on the south east coast of Sicily. It is also just 3km from the charming fishing village of Marzamemi with picturesque beach, small harbour with colourful wooden boats and fish restaurants, artisan shops along narrow side streets and piazza with live music on some evenings during the summer months.

From the villa, it is also possible to visit some of the most beautiful towns in south east Sicily such as Noto (24km), Syracuse (51km) and the baroque towns of the Val di Noto. It is also 8km from Vendicari Nature Reserve home to Herons, Cranes, Black Storks, Pelicans and home to a flamboyance of Flamingos in its lagoons, marshes, dunes and beaches.

Noto, part of the Val di Noto UNESCO World Heritage Site in south east Sicily, has an upper part on the plateau and a lower newer part on the slope below. The latter accommodates buildings of the nobility and religious complexes of the 18^th century and the topography, town plan and architecture combine to create a spectacular 'Baroque stage set'. It includes nine religious complexes and numerous palazzi. It is a charming Baroque-style town built up following the 17^th century earthquake.

There are several historical sites scattered across the town such as the Church of San Francesco, Museo Civico and Piazza XVI Maggio as well as numerous shops, bars, restaurants. Noto is also home to one of the most visually striking festivals on the island held on the 3^rd weekend of May when Via Nicolaci is transformed into a piece of artwork with 16 artists covering the street with their own exquisite petal designs.

Rosmarino is a lovely Mediterranean-style villa close to San Lorenzo, a renowned seaside resort that boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily.

The villa is surrounded by a well-kept garden and has panoramic terraces to enjoy the sea view from the comfort of your sunbed or al fresco dining table. 

The small pool and jacuzzi are an added benefit along with the bright and welcoming interior with 2 bedrooms (sleeping 4) and a sofa bed (for a further 2 guests).

The location of the villa allows guests to explore both the coast and the beautiful cities in south east Sicily including Noto, Syracuse and the baroque cities of the Val di Noto.
