The Accommodation

The manor house, winery, stable and storage room have been totally renovated using eco-friendly materials yet retaining the original character and architectural features. The interior combines modern and traditional décor. 

On the ground floor of the manor house there is a lounge with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and guest shower room. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms: 1 double with en suite bathroom, 1 twin and 1 single both with en suite shower rooms.  On the lower floor, the former wine press room, is the wellness area with jacuzzi (heated until 31/05 and again from 01/10-12/01/2025), salt grotto, sauna, Turkish bath, multi-sensory shower and relax area. There is also a room with gym equipment.

There are also 2 annexes: 
The Casetta has a lounge area with single sofa bed, mezzanine with double bed and shower room; 
The Dependance has a double bedroom with en suite shower room. 

The villa is equipped with air conditioning, heating, WiFi, TV, DVD and CD players, hairdryer, cot and highchair. The kitchen has an electric oven, espresso machine, fridge/freezer, gas hob, kettle, microwave, mixer, toaster, dishwasher and there is a washing machine and iron.

Please note: La Torretta can be sold as a 3, 4 or 5 bedroom villa.

The Garden & Facilities

Outside there are large terraces with sofas and a loggia with external kitchen and dining area with table, chairs and barbecue.

In the garden there is a lovely saltwater swimming pool (12m x 6m, depth 0.50-1.50m, open from 01/04 to 18/11) and surrounding terrace with sun loungers, parasols and shower with lovely views to the sea.

Extra services include a cook (€200 + receipts), babysitting (€15 per hour) and a maid service (€20 per hour).

From the villa, the local village of Zafferana Etnea can be easily reached and Mount Etna National Park can be explored. The Ionian coast is 12km away and the cosmopolitan town of Taormina is 35km away.

The Local Area

Villa La Torretta is 4km from Zafferana Etnea, a small hillside town on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, 600m above sea level, surrounded by vineyards and citrus groves, with panoramic views the picturesque Sicilian coastline.

The town attracts visitors and walkers throughout the year to explore the cultural heritage of the town with 18^th century buildings and elegant central piazza. It is 9km to the nearest beach, 22km from Rifugio Sapienza to access the summit of Mount Etna, 35km from Taormina and 31km from Il Picciolo Golf Club.

Catania, the second largest city in Sicily is 23km from the villa, situated at the foot of Mount Etna in front of the Ionian Sea. Being so close to the volcano, Catania has experienced its fair share of turmoil over the years and has been rebuilt a number of times as a result using the same volcanic rock to create a beautiful collection of Baroque style buildings.

It provides a gateway into the island with international airport and with its university and buzzing city centre, Catania is one of the most popular commercial cities in Sicily with a host of restaurants, bars, shops, markets and monuments.

Villa La Torretta is ideal for a group or large/extended families having 3 bedrooms and 2 more in annexes (sleeping up to 10). 

The villa is in a fantastic location with far reaching countryside views to the sea beyond, 9km away.

It is ideal for those looking for the privacy of a large villa with its own pool and the added feature of having a spa area and gym. 

It is well-equipped for self catering and there are lovely terraces for al fresco dining. 

Car hire is essential for supplies and exploring the local area.
