Situated in Ortigia, the historical centre of the city of Syracuse on the south east coast of Sicily, Ortea Palace Hotel is a magnificent 19th century palace and former post office now renovated and beautifully refurbished to offer luxury hotel rooms and suites, restaurant and spa enjoying lovely views over the harbour and historic city.

The Accommodation

Ortea Palace is a magnificent building from the early 1900's, which, for many years, housed the Syracuse Post Office.

The hotel boasts 75 rooms and suites, all of which mirror the original elegance and style and have bright, spacious and welcoming interiors with Italian design furniture, furnishings and carpets from Zanaboni Milano and marble bathrooms.

All the rooms and suites have en suite shower room with bathrobes & slippers, air conditioning/heating, satellite TV, WiFi, telephone, safe, minibar and Nespresso machine (except Classic rooms). Some Suites have bathtubs and balconies with sea views to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Ortigia.

Ortea Palace is a spectacular newly refurbished hotel in Syracuse with a fantastic view over the harbour.

Originally the Palazzo delle Poste, this historic building has been renovated into a grand hotel yet preserving the original structure and architectural features.

It is in an ideal location to visit the city’s sights and historic monuments yet providing a wonderful retreat after sightseeing with the spa having a lovely indoor pool.

The guest rooms and suites are beautifully furnished with some antiques and modern comforts.

An elaborate breakfast is included and the hotel's restaurant offers a dinner option or the reception can recommend local restaurants and excursions.
