The Accommodation

Consisting of a main house and an annexe all on ground level, this property features a well laid out interior and furnished in traditional Sicilian style. It is equipped with air conditioning, WiFi, satellite TV, sound system, washing machine, oven and microwave.

The main villa has a living room with ornamental fireplace, open plan dining area and kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, espresso machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, iron, kettle, microwave, mixer and toaster, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, 1 shower room and 1 seperate WC. The annexe houses the third bedroom with en suite shower room.

A cot and highchair are provided for families with young children. The villa also has a washing machine, hairdryer and safe.

The Garden & Facilities

The villa boasts a pretty garden with a dining terrace and barbecue area perfect for breakfasts and dining al fresco, lovely swimming pool (8m x 14m, depth 1.5m - 2.5m, open 01/04 - 30/11) with terrace and sun loungers, armchairs, parasol and external shower.

The villa is enclosed by a wall with attractive bougainvillea and although the sea can be seen over the wall, it is 700m to the nearest rocky beach and 1.3km to the beautiful sandy beach of San Vito Lo Capo. 

The town, with shops and restaurants, is 1.5km away and there is a weekly market. Available locally are tennis (1km), diving (2km) and horse riding (7km).

Additional services include a cook (€200 + receipts) and maid service (€15/hour, min 2 hours).

The Local Area

Villa Cala Mancina is situated just 1.3km from San Vito Lo Capo’s beach and town centre but is also an excellent base for exploring the charming surrounding area such as Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve, the salt pans of Trapani and Marsala, the medieval village of Erice, Trapani’s historical centre, the imposing temple of Segesta and the Egadi islands.

San Vito Lo Capo is famous for its stunning long white sandy beach lapped by turquoise sea on the north western tip of the island. It is a small yet very popular holiday resort in the province of Trapani and boasts a number of bars and trattorias open until late in the summer.

San Vito Lo Capo is also favoured by hikers and climbers due to the impressive mountains and caves situated nearby, some of which can be visited on foot or admired from the beach.

Several festivals take place throughout the year, such as the annual Couscous festival in September over the course of a week when top chefs compete to create the best Couscous dish and celebrate the diverse history of Sicilian cuisine.

Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve is an 11km magnificent clifftop walk from San Vito or can be accessed by boat. The walk leads up the slopes of Monte Speziale (913m) and encompasses panoramic views, Mediterranean macchia, some 40 different species of birds and some trails down to beautiful deserted coves and beaches.

It has well planned accommodation with 2 bedrooms in the main villa and an extra bedroom in the annexe, open plan lounge/diner/kitchen opening onto terraces ideal for al fresco dining. 

The pool is a real feature and ideal for relaxation after sightseeing or days at the stunning beach close by in the seaside resort of San Vito Lo Capo, which has a good selection of shops for self catering or restaurants for eating out. 

Car hire is recommended for exploring the local area.
