The Villa Accommodation

This villa (140m²) is arranged over two floors, connected by an external staircase. There are welcoming, bright modern interiors with picture windows with lovely views over the surrounding countryside to the blue sea beyond. 

On the ground floor of the villa there is an open-plan living area with fireplace, well-equipped kitchen and dining area, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and a shower room. 

On the first floor are two double bedrooms both with en suite shower rooms, living area with kitchenette and a lovely, sunny terrace with views to the sea. 

The villa is equipped with WiFi, 2 TVs, satellite receiver, electric oven, gas and induction hobs, fridge/freezers, kettle, toaster, microwave, Espresso machines, coffee percolater, dishwashers, washing machine, highchair, iron, 3 hairdryers and barbeque. 

The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are cleaned midweek (4 hours), linen and pool towels changed weekly, bath towels are changed mid-week.

The Garden & Facilities

Sliding patio doors lead to the 1,000m² garden with large tiled sun terraces surrounding the lovely infinity swimming pool (5m x 11m, depth min 0.30m - max 1.7m) with hydromassage jets and there are sun loungers and a gazebo for shade. There is also a shower room and a covered dining area with barbecue.

Guests can also request a cook (extra cost, €250 + receipts).

The Local Area

Villa Domizia is an excellent base for exploring the most beautiful places of the southern side of Sicily. The property is close the sandy beaches of Bovo Marina 3km, Eraclea Minoa 10km and to the nature reserves of Torre Salsa (15km) and Foce del Fiume Platani (15km). Further south are the cliffs of Scala dei Turchi (21km) and the Valley of the Temples near Agrigento (33km).  To the north are the fishing port of Sciacca (35km) and Selinunte Archaeological Park (70km).

The nearest town to the villa is Montallegro 4km away with a selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias.  Ribera known for its oranges is 20km and has a market on Thursdays. Bovo Marina has a lovely sandy beach where it is possible to hire sunbeds and there are a couple of beach cafés/restaurants. Eraclea Minoa also has a sandy beach with clear blue sea between white cliffs and a pine forest and it is also known for its ancient Phoenician settlement with sandstone theatre and Roman villa with mosaic relics.

From Villa Domizia, it is possible to visit The Valley of the Temples (33km) located just outside of Agrigento, arguably one of the most beautiful and historically interesting locations in Sicily, characterised by the remains of ten temples dating back to the 5th century BC and the Temple of Concordia being one of the best preserved temples of the Greek civilization today. It became part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997 being one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, one of the main attractions in Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy.

Villa Domizia is situated on the south coast of Sicily enjoying wonderful views to the sea 3km away. It is a contemporary designed villa with 4 bedrooms, lovely first floor terrace, well equipped kitchen open-plan with the lounge and dining areas. 

Sliding patio doors lead to a lovely shaded dining area adjacent to the large swimming pool with fabulous sun terrace. It is a haven of peace and quiet ideal to get away from it all and relax in your own privacy. 

Car hire is essential to access the local town 4km away for provisions, the beach 3km away and to explore this diverse area of the island with picturesque coastline and historic sights.
