This charming Mediterranean-style hotel with characteristic whitewashed buildings is set amongst pretty gardens overlooking the sea from its cliff top vantage point.

Approximately 100 steps lead down to the small pebble beach in a secluded cove with inviting turquoise sea ideal for snorkelling and swimming.  

The hotel is within 2km of the sandy beach, restaurants and café bars in the town of Cefalù which is reachable on foot or with the free hotel shuttle. The railway from Palermo to Messina is situated behind the hotel but is not intrusive. 

Suitable for both couples and families looking to relax and explore Cefalù and the local area.

Accommodation

Surrounded by two hectares of botanical parkland, Le Calette is composed of two areas, Le Calette No5 (5 star) and Le Calette Bay (4 star) plus villas. There are 54 comfortable guest rooms and suites arranged in 3 wings, on the ground and first floor.

All the rooms are equipped with fine percale Egyptian cotton sheets, goose feather pillows or anti-allergic foam, individual climate control, telephone, minibar with soda, snacks and alcoholic drinks, LED satellite TV, safe with electronic combination, tea and coffee making facilities, beach towels and beach bag, hairdryer, courtesy line and slippers.

This is the 5 star part of the hotel which is close to the main services and all feature the prestigious Ortigia courtesy line.
Classic Room (18m 2 ) queen size bed with window, close to the pool (3 rooms are disabled-friendly).

Deluxe Room (30m 2 ) queen size bed, two separate rooms, private patio with pool view.

Prestige Room(27m 2 ) queen size bed, private terrace with sea and pool view (one with outdoor hydro massage bath).

Villas

The hotel offers a hot and cold breakfast buffet and an à la carte lunch/dinner in two restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine, with contemporary Sicilian flavours using the best local produce, served along with Italian wines of excellence.

The Cala Luna, with its open kitchen, serves breakfast, lunch and fine dining dinner facing onto the garden which gently slopes toward the sea in the summer months, on cooler days food is served in the indoor dining room Rizz'i Mari. 

Calette Reef restaurant is situated on a terrace facing the sea (from June to September) with a more laid back atmosphere serving dishes inspired by Sicilian street food, traditional regional dishes and international classics.

There are two bars: the Pool Bar and the Reef Bar for drinks throughout the day and evening.

The picturesque outdoor, saltwater pool is situated in front of the hotel with separate jacuzzi and terrace with sunbeds, parasols and sea view. There is a wooden solarium and terrace with double sunbeds overlooking the sea and a path leading down to the 'wild beach' with pebbles and steps into the turquoise sea. A further rocky beach is accessible on the slopes of the Rocca, near the impressive Cefalu lighthouse overlooking the tourist harbour.

A complimentary daytime shuttle service operates to the private beach on Cefalu's seafront, equipped with sunbeds and parasols, showers and changing rooms (available June - September).

The intimate spa (400m 2 ) is located in the wine cellar, offering Thalaxoterm system, sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, relax area, beauty treatments and massages. There is also a comlimentary gym available with Technogym equipment.

The 24 hour reception gives guests hotel and local information and provides electric bikes, kayaks, SUP, babysitting and a laundry service are available (all extra cost).

Excursions (extra cost) can be organised by the hotel to places of interest such as La Rocca mountain, historic centre and cathedral of Cefalù, the Madonie Natural Park, Palermo, Monreale, Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Etna, Toarmina and the stunning Aeolian Islands.

Just 2km from the hotel by road or walkway around the high towering rock, the charming town of Cefalù was once a Greek settlement then built up by Roger II, giving a distinctive Norman influence throughout the town.

Peppered with restaurants, bars, shops and points of historical and natural interest (both the Rocca and the cathedral are UNESCO sites), Cefalù is an ideal location for history enthusiasts or those simply wishing to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culture or relax on the beach. With its Norman buildings, fishing port and colourful streets and alleyways that slope down towards the sea with a long beach, Cefalù offers attractions for all.
