The Accommodation

The hotel has 5 tastefully decorated double bedrooms, 2 triple rooms and 1 suite as well as 2 apartments sleeping 4/5. All the rooms are simply furnished and equipped with air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV and have an en suite shower room and mountain or garden view. Free WiFi and parking are also available.

Although placed in an entirely secluded setting, the hotel is just a few kilometres away from the town of Piazza Armerina, meaning that guests can easily swap the serenity of the countryside for the vibrancy of the town should they wish to do so. 

The Facilities

The hotel offers a number of facilities such as a cosy lounge area, swimming pool enveloped by panoramic views, a sizeable terrace shaded by olive trees as well as a large garden equipped with a barbecue and wood oven.

One of the many advantages of staying at the Agriturismo Salemi is that guests are given the opportunity to try the farm's traditional products (olive oil and almonds being amongst the farm's specialities), all of which are lovingly prepared in the hotel's authentic Sicilian restaurant as well as a buffet breakfast. 

The Local Area

Piazza Armerina is a charming hill town located just 7km from the Agriturismo Salemi, with many historical attractions such as the Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic domed cathedral with bell tower, 14^th century Aragonese castle and Piazza Garibaldi in the old town and surrounded by a handful of palazzi.

Piazza Armerina is perhaps most famous for Villa Romana del Casale, 6km to the south west, a grandiose 4^th century Roman villa renowned for housing some of the most striking examples of decorative Roman mosaics. It is Sicily’s most important Roman monument and a listed UNESCO Heritage site with guided tour available.

The hotel is very relaxed with a 'home away from home' feel; the staff are extremely welcoming and attentive and the food is delicious (with a good choice of wines), making the hotel a genuinely enjoyable place to spend a holiday and ideal for those looking to escape a hectic lifestyle and spend some time enjoying the sun in peace.
