Situated in the seaside town of San Vito Lo Capo on the north west tip of Sicily, Villaggio Cala Mancina offers a selection of 1 and 2 bedroom self catering apartments close to the town and stunning long white sandy beach.
There are 60 Mediterranean-style apartments arranged on the ground and first floor of terraced villa style buildings in the gardens of the village.
There is a choice of studio, 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, all have simple furnishings, rustic stone walls and terracotta tiled floors and are equipped with kitchenette (electric hob, fridge and utensils), shower room, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, air conditioning and a reserved parking space. All the apartments have a terrace or balcony with sea or garden view. Breakfast is available on request (extra cost) and the apartments are cleaned daily.
Standard Studio / Sea View Studio (35m2 / sleeps up to 2) A single room consisting of a living area with small kitchenette, a sleeping area with double bed, shower room and small outdoor area equipped with table and chairs.
1 Bedroom Apartment (45m2 / sleeps up to 4) Located on the ground or first floor, consist of a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette, hallway, shower room, sleeping area and either a balcony or small garden both with table and chairs. 1 Bedroom Apartment Plus/Sea View are located higher up in the Village and are more private. 1 Bedroom Apartment Superior Sea View have a panoramic terrace overlooking the whole gulf of San Vito Lo Capo.
Dependance 1 Bedroom Apartment (50m2 / sleeps up to 4) For those who prefer more privacy, the two-room dependance apartments are arranged over two floors: the ground floor consists of a double bedroom and shower room; the first floor is a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette.
Deluxe 1 Bedroom Apartment with Pool View (45m2 / sleeps up to 4) Located on the ground floor, consists of a living room with sofa bed overlooking the pool, hallway with kitchenette, shower room, sleeping area and outdoor area with a veranda equipped with a parasol, chairs and deck chairs.
Deluxe Superior 1 Bed Apartment (45m2 / sleeps up to 4) Characteristic villa built in local stone in a private area, divided into two apartments, one on the first floor overlooking the Gulf of San Vito Lo Capo, one on the ground floor with a private veranda surrounded by nature. The apartment consists of a large double bedroom, shower room, living room with sofa bed and kitchenette. Both apartments have an outdoor area equipped with a parasol, chairs and deck chairs.
Two Bedroom Apartment (55m2 / up to 6 sharing) Located on the first and ground floors, comprising of a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette, hallway, shower room, a bedroom and another room with two more beds. The balcony on the first floor has with table and chairs, while the veranda of the apartments on the ground floor have a parasol, table and chairs.
In the village grounds there is an outdoor pool, terrace with sunbathing area and bar with music entertainment daily (June - September, 10am - 12pm). There is also a children’s play area and a shady pine forest behind. The beach is a short walk away with sunbeds and parasols to hire and there is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants locally.
The village reception offers guests local information and a number of activities including boat trips, Scuba diving, sport fishing, cultural and archaeology trips, sailing and windsurfing, bicycle hire and horse riding (all extra cost).
San Vito Lo Capo is famous for its stunning long white sandy beach lapped by turquoise sea on the north western tip of the island. It is a small yet very popular holiday resort in the province of Trapani and boasts a number of bars and trattorias open until late in the summer.
The town is also favoured by hikers and climbers due to the impressive mountains and caves situated nearby, some of which can be visited on foot or admired from the beach.
Several festivals take place throughout the year, such as the annual Couscous festival in September over the course of a week when top chefs compete to create the best Couscous dish and celebrate the diverse history of Sicilian cuisine.
Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve is 11km magnificent clifftop walk from San Vito or can be accessed by boat. The walk leads up the slopes of Monte Speziale (913m) and encompasses panoramic views, Mediterranean macchia, some 40 different species of bird and some trails down to beautiful deserted coves and beaches.
Villaggio Cala Mancina is ideally situated close to the beautiful long white sandy beach at San Vito Lo Capo on the north west tip of Sicily.
There are studios, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments which are simple but fresh, all with a terrace or balcony.
They are ideal for families with a central pool and playground, yet suitable for couples too, being close to the beach and town with a selection of restaurants for eating out.
The popular holiday town of San Vito Lo Capo offers a great choice of activities from boat trips to watersports and Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve provides some lovely walks and views.
