The Accommodation

Susafa has 8 simple yet attractive guest rooms and 9 suites in rustic design with a rural theme. All the rooms are located on the ground floor (except for the Superior Suite) with direct access from the gardens. All the rooms have en suite shower room, air conditioning, WiFi, hairdryer and laundry service (on request, extra cost).

Please note: there are no televisions in the rooms.

Double Classic (21m², sleeping 2) king size bedroom and view to the surrounding hills. Please note: these rooms are accessed via steps.
Double Superior (24m², sleeping 2) king size bedroom and French doors opeing onto a small terrace with views of the surrounding hills. The rooms also have a kettle with tea selection and Sicilian honey and armchair. Please note: these rooms are accessed via steps.
Junior Suite (37m², sleeping 2) two of the Junior Suites are located on one floor with a private terrace area and the other two Junior Suites are arranged on two levels: ground floor with a living room with sofa bed and shower room; and a mezzanine floor with a bed and an armchair. View to the surrounding hills kettle with a tea selection, coffee and Sicilian honey, desk and sofa. Please note: these rooms are accessed via steps.
Classic Suite (45m², sleeping 2) king size bedroom, en suite bathroom, direct access to the private garden and view to the surrounding hills and a kettle with a tea selection and Sicilian honey.
Superior Suite (70m², sleeping 2) located on the first floor of the hotel building and split across two rooms separated by a glass wall, one room is a living room and the other a king size bedroom with en suite bath/shower room plus a kettle with a tea selection and Sicilian honey and an armchair.
Deluxe Suite (70m², sleeping 2) king size bedroom, views over the gardens and surrounding countryside, bathroom area with sauna, bath and shower plus a kettle with a tea selection and Sicilian honey and an armchair.

The Restaurant & Bar

The amazing Restaurant Il Granaio has high ceilings giving a grand yet rustic atmosphere having once been the old granary of the farm. It offers guests a buffet breakfast with local produce and an a la carte dinner menu with authentic Italian cuisine and special emphasis on the immense variety of local traditional gastronomy. Only the very freshest ingredients are used, many produced on the farm itself or locally, and selected personally by the chef in order to guarantee the highest quality.

Il Palmento bar offers drinks throughout the day and evening where it is possible to taste the best wines of the region. 

The Facilities

There is a swimming pool with terrace with sun loungers and parasols where guests can relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of the rolling hills and surrounding countryside. Massages are available (extra cost).

The reception, with concierge services, is open during the day and evening and offers excursions to Madonie National Park, trekking, horse riding and also wine tasting and cooking lessons which vary daily (all extra cost). 

The Local Area

Susafa’s central location in Sicily enables guests to visit the many historic sites and cities around the island, all reachable by car such as Palermo (90km), Cefalù (60km), the temples of Agrigento (90km) and the mosaics of Piazza Armerina (88km).  More locally, it is 40km to Madonie National Park and possible to visit the villages of the Madonie including Polizzi Generosa 21km along with Petralia Soprana, Castelbuono, Gangi and the beautiful Sperlinga.

Enjoying the most wonderful countryside views, Masseria Susafa is situated in the heart of the countryside yet more or less equidistance between Palermo and Catania and between Cefalù and Agrigento and therefore an ideal location for touring the island and for multicentre holidays.

For five generations, the family who have farmed the land and passed down their fascinating traditions, now invite guests to share this authentic country lifestyle, whilst enjoying the comfort of this beautifully furnished country hotel. There are just 14 guest rooms and the 4 suites which were brand new for 2018.

In the gardens, they grow their own vegetables and produce olive oil from the surrounding olive groves. The pool area is lovely, extremely peaceful with an amazing view over the Parco delle Madonie.
