The Accommodation

The modern guest rooms and Junior Suites are enriched by contemporary artworks and have elegant décor, top quality beds, soundproofing, marble shower rooms and wooden floors. 

All the rooms have en suite shower room, hairdryer, telephone, WiFi, TV with satellite and Sky channels, minibar, electronic safe and air conditioning. 

The Deluxe rooms have coffee/tea making set and the Junior Suites also have a Nespresso machine. There is the choice of Classic or Deluxe double or twin rooms (some sleeping up to 3) or Junior Suites (some sleeping up to 3).

The Facilities

The hotel has a welcoming reception and lounge decorated with some antique furniture, along with a library and lounge bar.

A buffet breakfast is served daily with fresh, local produce featuring local delicacies, cheeses, cold cuts, a selection of breads, yoghurt, fresh fruits, cereals and a selection of hot foods.

There is a fitness room which is free for guests use. The reception offers room service, laundry and ironing service, excursions, cooking classes, tailored walking tours (all extra cost) and can advise guests on shopping and culture. 

Nearby there is a private beach area, hammam and golf course (all extra cost, not run by the hotel).

The Local Area

Principe di Villafranca is situated in the heart of the shopping and business area of Palermo, a few steps away from Viale della Libertà and within walking distance of the Politeama theatre and the Massimo theatre. The historical city centre and sightseeing area are about 2km away.

Since its foundation under the Phoenicians, the city of Palermo has witnessed an astonishing number of civilisations come and go, each having left its own individual mark. It is therefore unsurprising that Sicily’s capital features a wide range of historical points of interest such as the cathedral, Palace of the Normans, Massimo theatre, Politeama theatre and Pretoria Square, which can be visited either on foot or by car/bus.

Alongside its historical charm, Palermo also features a wide range of restaurants, shops, bars, cafés and beaches, including watersports at Mondello beach, making it a fantastic location to spend a couple of days or longer holiday.

Hotel Principe di Villafranca is a modern hotel in the new part of Palermo and only a 10 minute walk from the old part of the city which is well worth exploring.

The staff are very helpful and will give guests recommendations of local restaurants and places to visit. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of local delicacies. 

This is a lovely hotel to use as a base with comfortable modern rooms and elegant lounge bar to relax.

We do not recommend car hire whilst staying in Palermo but if you do arrive by car the hotel has a private garage (extra cost).
