There are 15 charming guest rooms with the choice of Classic or Superior and Deluxe (double or triple, some with mezzanine) with terrace or Junior Suite (double with mezzanine). Also, there are Suites or Family Suites (quadruple room) and an Exclusive double room in an adjacent building to the spa, some rooms having a canopy double bed, fireplace and bath tub. 

Each room has its own design, but all the rooms have modern yet homely furniture with objet d’arte and décor giving a warm and cosy feel. They are all equipped with en suite shower room, air conditioning, desk, armchair, LCD satellite TV, hairdryer, telephone, fan, WiFi, minibar and safe. 

The iPalici Restaurant is located in a large, elegantly furnished room and the gourmet cuisine is characterised by typical Sicilian flavours with produce from the Etna area which is extremely fertile. This inludes a tasting menu paired with local wines all proposed by Executive Chef Procopio Gaetano.

Guests will have the pleasure of tasting traditional recipes reinterpreted in a modern way with unforgettable flavours and aromas of Sicily. 

A rich and tasty continental breakfast is served every morning which includes yogurt, dairy products, fruit juices, jams and seasonal fruit along with tea, herbal teas and coffee, as well as various local sweet delicacies.

The Lounge Bar Palmento del Serra is in the heart of the mill with a charming atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy a selection of drinks prepared by an expert mixologist. The bar also serves lunch (extra cost).

For wine lovers, Relais San Giuliano will be a real discovery thanks to the Etna wine growing region, a great example of biodiversity, boasting the production of good wine which are carefully selected and kept in the hotel wine cellar.

The hotel is enriched with photographs of local plants, paintings, majolica, Sicilian sculptures and objet d’arte. There is great attention to detail in both the guest rooms and the communal areas giving a lovely balance between elegance and comfort. The hotel staff are very personable and provide excellent service including local information and recommendations.

There is a lovely swimming pool immersed in the gardens and the terrace surround has sunbeds, parasols and a pool bar for a light lunch or a drink.

The hotel reception can arrange cooking lessons on request (extra cost) with typical Sicilian recipes.

The elegant spa has a sauna and Hammam to offer guests relaxation and wellbeing (extra cost). There is also a complimentary gym available for guests.

Relais San Giuliano is located at the foot of Mount Etna, an area that has become rich in vines producing wines that are recognised and appreciated all over the world. 

The Wine Experience offers an intense experience of tasting fine wines, which mirror the surrounding landscape. The winery boasts carefully selected wines, from Sicily and the Etna territory with an interesting national and international spin.

Relais San Giuliano is situated in Viagrande, in the province of Catania near the east coast of Sicily, famous for its fascinating old town centre and Casa delle Farfalle Monteserra (Butterfly House) and Etna Museum.

It is an ideal location for visiting Mount Etna National Park (Rifugio Sapienza 21km) and Taormina (45km). Viagrande itself is a bustling town with some nice piazzas, palazzo-lined streets and some Baroque churches to visit. Gran Caffe Urna is a Viagrande institution that has been serving the local population since 1885, where visitors can enjoy a gelato or one of the pastries that Sicily is famous for.

This local area is also known for its wines, grown in the rich volcanic soil with heritage grapes found only here. Try the Etna DOC - its white is made with the Carricante vintage, which is only cultivated on Mount Etna, while the red is made from Negrello, the principle red grape of this part of Sicily.
