Huw's View

Situated on top of a hill in the Natural Madonie Park behind Cefalù, Vallegrande Nature Resort offers an excellent base to relax but also to discover the magnificent Monti Madonie and northern coastline of Sicily.

This Nature Resort has a woodland setting but enjoys wonderful sea views from the lovely pool terrace.  The rooms are spacious and we suggest half board (compulsory July - September) not only to enjoy the excellent Sicilian cuisine but also due to the remote location.

Vallegrande will predominantly suit couples looking for a tranquil boutique hotel along with excursions to explore the diverse local area.

Please note that the hotel is approached via hilly country roads. Car hire essential.

Vallegrande Nature Resort is located in Contrada Valle Grande, a picturesque landscape surrounded by green oaks and ash trees, just 7km from Cefalù, within the enchanting Madonie Regional Natural Park. The beach at Sant’Ambrogio is sand mixed with pebbles, washed by clear and transparent sea.

The charming town of Cefalù was once a Greek settlement originally built on La Rocca, a large rock that dominates over the town. It was subsequently built up around the base of the rock by King Roger II in the 12th century, giving a distinctive Norman influence throughout the town.

Peppered with restaurants, bars, shops and points of historical interest, Cefalù is an ideal location for history enthusiasts or those simply wishing to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culture or relax on the beach.  With its Norman buildings and cathedral, fishing port, colourful streets and alleyways that slope down towards the sea and long beach, Cefalù offers attractions for all.
