The Villa Accommodation

Villa Luna (300m²) has been carefully restored preserving the most interesting architectural elements including exposed stone walls. 

The ground floor of the villa has a large lounge with satellite TV, stereo system, CD and DVD player, modern kitchen with feature glass floor, 3 double bedrooms all with en suite shower rooms and independent access from the outside. The lower floor has a wellness area with sauna, whirlpool/jacuzzi, shower room and an annex with a double bedroom with en suite shower room and independent access from outside. 

The cosy interior is tastefully furnished and equipped with all modern comforts including air conditioning and WiFi and the kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, toaster, espresso coffee machine, hob with 5 gas burners, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. 

For families with young children there is a cot and highchair.  There are mosquito deterrents in all the bedrooms and a hairdryer is supplied.  There is also a laundry room with washing machine and iron.

The outside terraces have deckchairs, table and chairs for al fresco dining along with a barbecue and an external shower.

Please note: Villa Luna can be sold as a 3 or 4 bedroom villa (price available for either).

The Garden & Facilities

The villa is surrounded by a well-kept garden (5,000m²) with citrus, almond and olive trees, along with aromatic and ornamental plants. The villa boasts a stunning infinity pool (12m x 6m depth min 1.20m - max 2.20m) and panoramic terrace, with sun loungers and parasols, overlooking the town of Scicli and the valley. 

Optional services at the villa include; breakfast service (€10 per person), babysitting (€10 per hour), maid service (€15 per hour, minimum 4 hours), change of linen (€10 per person), cook (€25 per person, minimum €150 + receipts), welcome buffet (€20 per person, minimum €100), shopping list (€40 + receipts) and to open the pool out of season (€300 per week). 

Available locally are beauty treatments, guided tours, bike rental, boat rental, tastings of local products and wine tasting (all extra cost).   

The Local Area

Villa Luna is surrounded by quiet, picturesque countryside with typical carob and olive trees and dry-stone walls. It is a perfect base for exploring the UNESCO baroque town of Scicli and the other towns of the Val di Noto including Modica (12km), Ragusa (24km) and Noto (47km). 

There are also beautiful beaches to explore at Marina di Ragusa (15km), Punta Secca (22km), Donnalucata (9km) and Sampieri (13km). There is golf available at Donnafugata (27km), tennis courts (4km), horse riding (16km), diving at Marzamemi (50km and Pozzallo harbour (21km). 

The villa is 3km from the centre of Scicli, an ancient town which grew up around two valleys divided by steep ridges and emerging onto a wider valley. It is now full of beautiful restored Baroque churches and palazzi, along with shops and restaurants.

Scicli's showpieces are Palazzo Beneventano and Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo, well worth visiting.  Via Penna, an elegant pedestrianised street lined with Baroque palaces and churches, has cafe bars with tables outside where you can watch the world go by!  There is a weekly market on Tuesdays.

Villa Luna is perfect for families or a group of friends wishing to spend a dream holiday in a beautifully restored country house which can be sold with 3 or 4 bedrooms depending on your requirements.

The villa incorporates modern style, attention to detail and spacious living areas inside and out. The infinity pool facing Scicli is a real feature along with the spa area with heated jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation area. 

This villa is an excellent base for exploring the local charming baroque town of Scicli, along with the amazing surrounding territory of south eastern Sicily with unspoilt countryside, picturesque coastline and the other enchanting baroque towns of the Val di Noto.
