La Scibina was the best place we have stayed in Italy. It is stunning and so peaceful. There are only 7 apartments but 2 immaculate swimming pools, which even included inflatable toys (which were pumped up every morning) for the kids. As well of plenty of sun loungers there are several other areas of shade for people to sit and relax in. If you want it, there is an amazing homemade breakfast (with their own produce) on offer, with coffees and ice creams available throughout the day. Every detail has been thought through from beach towels and buckets and spades to take out, to tea towels, washing up liquid and sugar. There is a small but well maintained play area, a garden with fruits you can pick and a discreet carport within the complex for everyone to park under to save you getting into a boiling car (which really came in handy in the 42 degree heat!). La Scibina's complex is accessed with a key card, so it is secure and car free for kids to roam around. The apartments are clean, beautiful and spacious. There are large private patios as well as balconies, with tables, chairs and sun loungers. The windows have blackout blinds which was ideal for kids naps and siestas. The small staff team are friendly and always accessible but not in your face. La Scibina is someone's vision, which they have executed perfectly. We can't recommend it enough.

La Scibina has 6 units which are individually named and can be arranged as either self catering Studio, 1, 2 or 3 Bedroom apartments or as Standard rooms, Superior rooms or Junior Suites with breakfast providing an accommodation option to suit every need. Breakfast can be provided in the self catering options for a supplement.

Cianciane & Conserve: 1 Bedroom self catering apartments arranged over 2 floors with a kitchenette (hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, Italian coffee machine and a microwave on request), a lounge/dining area with table and chairs and a queen size sofa bed, shower room and large terrace. Both have a double/twin bedroom on the first floor with en suite shower room and large balcony, there is also a possibility of adding 2 extra beds in the bedrooms. Cianciane and Conserve can also be sold as Studio Apartments on the ground floor and as Superior rooms on the first floor.

Palombelle & Ria: 1 Bedroom self catering apartments arranged over 2 floors with a kitchenette (hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, Italian coffee machine and a microwave on request), a lounge/dining area with table and chairs and a double sofa bed and the possibility of adding an extra bed or a cot, shower room and large terrace. Palombelle has a double/twin bedroom, Ria has a four poster bed, on the first floor with en suite shower room, large living room with a double sofa bed and a large balcony. Palombelle and Ria can also be sold as Studio apartments (cannot add an extra bed, only a cot) on the ground Floor and Junior Suites on the first floor.

Varcuzze: 2 Bedroom self catering apartment arranged over 2 floors with a kitchenette (hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, Italian coffee machine and a microwave on request) , a lounge/dining area with table and chairs and a double sofa bed, shower room and 2 large terraces. There are 2 double/twin bedrooms on the first floor both with en suite shower room and large balcony, there is also a possibility of adding an extra bed in one bedroom and 2 extra beds in the other bedroom. Varcuzze can also be sold as a Studio Apartment on the ground floor and as Standard and Superior rooms on the first floor. 

Dote: 3 Bedroom self catering apartment arranged over 2 floors with a kitchenette (hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, Italian coffee machine and a microwave on request) , a lounge/dining area with table and chairs and a double sofa bed, single room with en suite shower room  and large terrace. There are 2 double/twin bedrooms on the first floor with en suite shower rooms and a large balcony, there is also a possibility of adding an extra bed in both the bedrooms. Dote can also be sold as a Studio apartment on the ground floor and as Standard and Superior (which only has a four poster bed option) rooms on the first floor.

Almost all rooms have a sea view and are beautifully designed and equipped with air conditioning, TV, minibar, safe, WiFi and pool towels. All terraces and balconies are equipped with table and chairs. Sale and Varcuzze Standard rooms do not have a terrace or balcony.

Situated in the attractive Mediterranean garden is a seawater swimming pool with separate children’s pool surrounded by a terrace with sunbeds and parasols for guests use. The gardens themselves are home to a variety of fruit, vegetables and spices.

For guests staying in ‘hotel formula’ a buffet breakfast is served each morning in the dining area of the bar. All Just Sardinia guests will be offered a complimentary breakfast on their first day. There is a pool bar which serves a light lunch (on request, extra cost), a sun terrace, fitness area, additional bar, play area, laundry room (extra cost) and a reading room from which guests can borrow books.

Road bikes and mountain bikes (standard and high performance) are available to rent from the reception. 

New for 2025 is a small spa with an emotional shower, Turkish Bath, hydromassage/jacuzzi and a treatment room for massages (all extra cost).

La Scibina is situated in the town of Marina di Ragusa, a charming seaside resort featuring a port, long sandy beach and a selection of typical Sicilian restaurants, bars and shops. It is 25km from Ragusa, 16km from Scicli, 33km from Modica and 43km from Ispica, all beautiful towns rich in Baroque architecture and part of the Val di Noto UNESCO Heritage sites.
